Garwood's Restaurant in Wolfeboro to hold Beer Tasting Dinner

November 18th, 2009 by janelmartin

Moat Mountain Brewing Company, a micro-brewery in New Hampshire has paired up with Garwood’s Restaurant in Wolfeboro for a Beer Tasting Dinner on Sunday, November 20 at 6:00pm.  The cost is $25 for a 5-course dinner, tax and service charge are not included.  The brewmaster, Will Gilson, will be on there to host the tasting.  This sounds like a fun evening.  My husband Jim and a friend went to Moat Mountain and really liked the beer selection, and enjoyed the quality of beer they are brewing. NH Open Doors Weekend November 7-8

November 3rd, 2009 by janelmartin

NH Open Doors is a weekend for all who love handcrafted items and who wish to meet the artists and craftspeople in their own environment.  What fun to take a tour of a studio, and see what they are working on.  The website has a map with all the locations throughout the state.  Plan to make a day of it and visit some wineries and restaurants in between artisans.

Locally, Susann Foster Brown  has etchings of Rural NH scenes and hand-spun yarn.  She is just minutes off of Route 16.  Why not pick up a little hand-spun yarn and knit up something nice for a gift for Christmas.
