About the Inn: Historic Lodging & Warm Hospitality

Built in 1804, the Wakefield Inn is located in the quiet, historic village of Wakefield Corner. The inn is your ideal base to explore and enjoy the spectacular beauty and tranquility of the unspoiled countryside of New England.

Enjoy the beautiful White Mountains, the Lakes Region and not far away, the seacoast of Maine. Or relax and enjoy the immediate area visiting nearby museums, gift and antique shops, driving along scenic by-ways or enjoying some of the great outdoor sports activities.

The building has many unique features, the most spectacular of which is the “flying” spiral staircase gracefully spirals up to the third floor with no center pole support. On the first floor there is a 3-sided fireplace that includes a beehive oven. The Inn also has a wrap around front porch, which is a favorite place to sit and relax in the cool, crisp mountain air. Savor your first cup of coffee and watch the sunrise.

Modern amenities include private baths for each room, a refrigerator for our guests, flat screen television in the common area and free wireless internet throughout the inn.

The Wakefield Inn is incredibly charming, with an equally charming innkeeper. We definitely enjoyed the Wakefield Inn and would recommend it to anyone looking to experience a “Real New England B&B.” You'll definitely get spoiled here!~ TripAdvisor.com Review
